11 Eclipse Street
Description:
Our first community event is Girls’ Night In. We will be supporting the Cancer Council and raising valuable funds for breast cancer research.
Come along, join in with other like-minded girls and learn how to make a Kanzashi Flower. These lovely Japanese styled fabric creations are similar in a way to fabric origami and look like a flower. They are easy to make and look great! Add a brooch back and you have a new accessory that you can pin to your favourite Tshirt, blouse, dress or cardigan or you might prefer to fix it to a headband! If you choose, you can make it in pink to show your support for breast cancer research! (My gorgeous sister, Karen, a breast cancer survivor, has already donated some lovely fabrics in pink to get us started!)
We will supply:
- All equipment and materials for making the flowers
- A glass of pink champagne on arrival
Can you please bring:
- A plate of supper to share
- Your favourite drink
- Some cash for our fundraising raffle
Everyone will go home with their own Kanzashi flower or two!
