There is nothing quite as satisfying as creating a useful object from scrap materials! Learn a new skill and have some fun while you inject your personality into the making of a coiled basket using recycled fabrics!
Karen Wright from Zenzero Design will be your tutor and guide you step-by-step through the process.
About Karen:
A lover of all things handcrafted and an all round crafty type, Karen Wright is cut from the same maker’s cloth as Julie Hillier….in fact they are sisters!
Growing up in a very creative household where her parents always had a “hands on – give it a go” attitude, Karen has been making for as long as she can remember, and is equally at home in front of a sewing machine or with a drill or piece of sandpaper in her hand!! Karen’s favourite thing is to poke around in secondhand shops searching for her next up-cycling project. With an eye for colour and a healthy love of textiles and paint, Karen is in her element when she is making soft furnishings, replacing the legs on a retro coffee table or repainting a feature wall!
Her love for all things creative has seen Karen turn her hand to a variety of crafts including mosaic, quilting, ceramics, leather craft, jewellery making, embroidery, weaving, dress making and furniture restoration – just to name a few.
