Create your own stunning pleated lampshade!

There is something special about the look of a pleated lampshade. The added texture and definition can really be a focal point in a room and add another layer of interest and sophistication.

Pleated shades are made entirely from fabric with a pleated fabric outer and a fabric lining. The finishing touch is the self bias trim to the top and bottom.

In this online tutorial we’ll show you how to create your own pleated shade. We’ll carefully demonstrate each step to simplify the process. Included in the tutorial are detailed, easy-to-follow instructions and materials lists so that you can make more pleated shades at home it you wish. Lampshade frames in a variety of sizes and shapes can be ordered from Ministry of Handmade but are not required for the
tutorial.
