Inspired by the array of colours that surround the iconic Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, our 2019 Spring Retreat invites you to draw inspiration from your bright surroundings and get creative!

Spanning one fun-filled weekend, Spring Retreat is perfect for absolute beginners, people looking to explore new mediums or those new to McGregor Retreats.

Home Furnishings Workshop

You will get to:

• make a lampshade
• upholster a footstool
• learn how to recover your dining chairs!!!

Do you have a room that is looking a little drab and in need of a refresh? Small furniture items and soft furnishings can really add interest and impact in a room and bring it to life!

In this fun-filled workshop you’ll learn all or some of the following: how to create your own professional standard lampshade, upholster a footstool or small bench seat, learn how to recover the seat pad of a dining chair or perhaps you’ll bring your own project. These items can really inject personality and fun to your interiors at a fraction of the cost of a big makeover!

You’ll go home with skills and confidence you need to create more home furnishings.
