This workshop is all about embellishment! Beautiful, enriching, delicious embroidery!

The table will be full of flowers to inspire, as Cath guides you through various processes and techniques, to develop your own beautiful work. Colour will override everything!

OPTION 1
Bring along your own painted tea towel from Saturday’s session and you can work it further with stitching.

OPTION 2
If you are joining Cath for just this Sunday embroidery workshop, a hand painted floral tea towel by Cath will be provided.

This process will bring your piece to another level and give it a much deeper quality.
We will approach the stitching as though we are painting with thread..building layers of colour and texture..

About Cath

Cath graduated from Curtain University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Craft! Her focus was textiles, and after graduating, left Perth for Sydney where her first job was with John Kaldor. In this job she learnt all about the real ‘rag trade’ and travelled to European and Japanese Studios 4 times a year.

After a few years Cath began her own design business called ‘Art Park’…two children came along and her world evolved around them..six years later she began ‘Prints Charming’ which was a successful design business with a strong ‘hand crafted’ view on fabrics, quilting, screen printing and stitching. Cath then began a new venture ‘The Happenstore ‘ …. A large space that is retail and workshops and studio…a ‘real’ space for artisans and makers….

She now enjoys focussing her attention to applying art directly on to fabric.

Time:
This workshop is a joyful fun 5 hours on Sunday – so you to completely immerse yourself in the world of delicious embroidery.

Inclusions:
All workshop materials and equipment, morning and afternoon tea.

What to bring:
Please bring your own lunch. If you are also attending the Saturday session, please bring your painted tea towel.
