We are excited to be in Injune offering two versions of our bench seat:
- No Sew
- Piped
No Sew Version
This version requires no sewing at all! We provide the frame, you bring the fabric! It is our fastest upholstery project by far with just a few simple steps involved.
Features: Folded corner finish, optional covered button trim, tapered untreated pine legs.
Sizes:
- 900mm long x 350mm wide x 450mm high – $349.00
- 1200mm long x 350mm wide x 450mm high – 369.00
Leg choice: We will also have available a limited number of untreated hardwood or steel hairpin legs at an extra $30/bench. This is payable on the day. If you definitely want either of these options please advise ahead of time and we will put them aside for you.
Piped Version
As this version has piped ends, participants must bring their own sewing machine complete with zipper foot. Please note that this is not a learn to sew session and participants must be familiar with the use of their sewing machine and its functions. Previous experience with piping is not required.
Features: Piped ends, optional covered button trim, tapered untreated pine legs.
- 900mm long x 350mm wide x 450mm high – $359.00
- 1200mm long x 350mm wide x 450mm high – 379.00
Leg choice: We will also have available a limited number of untreated hardwood or steel hairpin legs at an extra $30/bench. This is payable on the day. If you definitely want either of these options please advise ahead of time and we will put them aside for you.

Fabric recommendations*:
- Medium-heavy weight cottons, cotton/linen blends, cotton canvas, upholstery weight fabrics
Please avoid:
- Quilting weight fabric
- Really thick upholstery fabrics as they are bulky and hard to work with
- Stripes and checks as they are difficult to pattern match
- Fabrics that are shiny or have a sheen to them as they show up any imperfections more readily than fabrics with a dull finish.
*Warwick Fabrics (54 Robertson St, Fortitude Valley) carry a wide range of upholstery fabrics. Their showroom is open to the public so that you can view the range. If you wish to purchase a Warwick fabric, you will need to contact Julie to order on your behalf as Warwick don’t sell directly to the public.
