Chiang Mai Collection
We are excited to bring you our first collection of themed homewares.
First up… a collection using a luxurious fabric that enjoys a world-wide reputation and definitely can be accused of causing genuine “fabric envy”!
Chiang Mai Dragon is an iconic, highly sought-after Chinoiserie-style print by the luxury design house Schumacher. Inspired by an Art Deco print, the vivid pattern features stylized dragons, exotic florals, and lush foliage. It is popular for high-end upholstery, drapery and cushions.
An instant hit from the moment it was introduced, this is one of Schumacher’s best-loved designs. The chinoiserie motif was inspired by an Art Deco print. from the 1920s.
Usually priced around the $600/metre mark, we were fortunate to be the custodians of a stunning group of remnants. Keen to share my absolute love of Chiang Mai Dragon with you, this was an easy pick for our first collection. These pieces are all one-offs and were created in a bespoke manner determined by the sizes of the various pieces of fabric. Even the smaller offcuts were carefully sorted, arranged and stitched into our unique Kaleidoscope Cushions.
