Half an hour is all it takes!

This morning I was out early, paint brush in hand, refreshing some timber work as part of our entry courtyard makeover. I often find that just a small amount of mindless creative play first thing, helps set the tone for the day. These posts are painted in the colour Jasper and were last painted ten years ago. They were looking faded and tired and definitely needed a refresh.

30 minutes saw all four posts repainted and now I have a big smile on my face!! I also find that designating small manageable chunks of time to what seems like a big project can stop you from feeling overwhelmed… it also helps achieve great progress rather than procrastination. The big overhead beams are next on the list ( these are stained timber) and then lots of slats (more Jasper painting).
