Creating a wall hanging.

Lizzie has dropped this custom sewing job off for me. She purchased this Tree of Life style of hand appliqued material in Melbourne. I am fairly sure the background is cotton voile and the trees are cotton. It measures 2.2m wide and 2.7m tall and Lizzie wants to hang it in her internal stairwell as an art piece.

After a bit of a conversation on how it might be done, we decided on small dark navy tabs which will be stitched to the top edge so that it can be invisibly suspended from a rod. On the wrong side, I am going to fold in the edge of the fabric to line of the small triangles so that there is a double layer of fabric. This will create a border that will nicely frame the piece.
