Another recycled wire basket put to good use! I created a new planter using an old wire basket that had originally been wrapped in banana leaf. (This is a cousin to the wire basket that became a bird bath in the post from Day 8.)
I am on a mission to use up the odd bits and pieces around the place. The banana leaf was long gone and the wire frame was very rusty from being stored outside behind one of the tanks. I got Maurice to reduce the height by cutting off the top 200cm using a grinder. I then inverted the basket and placed the ceramic pot into what was the bottom of the basket. I have had the pot for a while and wasn’t quite sure what to do with it but had planted it out with Hebe a while ago and it is going really well.
The finished planter is now positioned outside our Studio 3.
