One rough hewn timber heart + a length of scrappy twine = necklace!
I bought this heart at Thousand Island Dressing at Paddington a year or so ago specifically to make a necklace. I wasn’t sure what to use to hang the heart but wanted to incorporate something I had made. A length of scrappy twine won the day… I love the texture and the mix of colours. (The scrappy twine is made from strips of leftover/recycled fabric.) The ends of the scrappy twine are knotted together with ends daubed with a bit of glue to stop it fraying.
The heart is attached with sewing thread through a small metal loop on the heart. I quickly put this together this morning ready for our family beach getaway. I am wearing it now with a white linen top. Rainbow Beach here we come!
