I am making another shirt for Maurice.

We only have one theme for the shirts I make for him… loud and remarkable because why make a shirt that looks like it came from a store?

I have had this wonderful cotton poplin for a few years and often thought it was crying out to be used for something a little different! The toucans and parrots are quite quirky and I love the colours. The fine indigo check is for the inside back yoke, underside of the collar and both inside and outside of the collar stand. I am using two colours for topstitching and will probably use dark blue buttons with chartreuse stitching. As I’ve used this pattern several times before, it is fairly quick to sew as I have the sizing worked out exactly!

I foresee more loud and remarkable shirts making their way into the wardrobe over the coming months! I have set a goal that all new shirts will be made from fabric already in my stash. Having fun!!!
