Face to face workshops are back!
We are pleased to offer a safe place
Until things change . . . we will be running some workshops from our studio in Bridgeman Downs.
To ensure your safety and the safety of others we have made a few changes to the way the workshops are hosted. Here’s a few of the things we have implemented:
- Limited the number of attendees at each workshop to the current Queensland State Government advice.
- Provided hand sanitiser to be used on entry to the workshop space (hand washing/sanitising will be encouraged frequently throughout the workshop).
- All equipment, hand tools and tables will be sanitised before each workshop.
Please note: these guidelines are subject to current Queensland State Government advice and may change without notice.
Guidelines for attending a workshop
We will welcome you with open arms (without hugging) to our workshops. We know you need to get out and do something creative for yourself! But, please do not attend a workshop if you:
- Are unwell
- Have been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past month
- Have been overseas or to a designated Australian COVID hotspot* in the past month
For contact tracing purposes, at the start of each workshop we will collect your details (name, address and phone number).
Online workshops will continue to be part of our workshop offerings. Online tutorials and workshops will not have any restrictions.
*COVID hotspots are announced by the Queensland State Government.
Here’s the answers to some common questions about our online classes
What does this mean?
- You save time and money because you don’t have to travel to our studio
- You don’t have to wait for us to plan a road trip so we can visit you
- You can still have individual attention
How does it work?
- You book into a workshop – just as before
- After booking, you will receive an email with all the details on how to join the online workshop
- We use the Zoom platform to communicate with sound and video
What do I need?
- A computer or laptop with a camera and microphone, or
- A tablet (iPad) or mobile device
- The Zoom app which is free and self installs easily
What does it cost?
- The Zoom app is free and you don’t need an account
- The communication is via your internet/telephone network so those costs are bundled in with your existing plan
- Our online workshop/tutorial prices are less than face to face workshops
What if I need fabric or a kit of some kind?
- When booking for the workshop those options will be shown to you
- We will send by courier any materials, kits or fabric you need for the workshop
- You will have to book at least 5 days prior to the workshop to allow your deliveries to arrive in time
- The requirements for many workshops will include things you already have
