96/100: 100 Days of Making

Private lesson with Rhonda!

What a fabulous way to spend a day… teaching Rhonda from @theurallaprintgallery how to make an ottoman and a lampshade. Rhonda travelled from Uralla on the New England Tableland in NSW to pick up some new skills. Her fabric by @gekkoprints was DIVINE… I did swoon!!!

The large piece of mono printed fabric was made by her friend Susie. The large panels of colour were so delicious… strong pinks, greens, blue and reds with an onerous of scratchy blacks and greys. Rhonda will apply a dark stain to the legs of the ottoman when she gets home to complete the look. We had such wonderful conversations about making and creating and textile printing and teaching.

Maurice and I are looking forward to heading down to Uralla/Tamworth/Armidale area in late August to run lampshade workshops. Let us know if you’d like to be involved!!
